On the new Control Panel:
And finally:
Why does it say *GNOME* Control Center ? Will that be changed? This is
one of the things that bugs me a lot in a lot of distros, things are
given some name that's completely unhelpful as to the function unless
you spend half your day on Linux forums so you know what all those
things are called.
Can this be 'System Control Center' please, or 'Ubuntu Control Center'
or even just 'Control Center', or 'Settings & Preferences'?
Same with 'Synaptic Package Manager' : I don't want to manage Synaptic
packages, I may want to install or uninstall software. I might not know
who Synaptic is or why I'd want to manage his package.
(And nor do I want to control gnomes. I don't even want to KNOW what
gnomes do at night in the garden, let alone that I'd want any say in how
they go about their business. )
Cheers,
Chanchao
