try burning your own with the latest sources. it may help. I've had problems with the cd's in the past but my problem was they partially started and then hung .......... for ever :(

If, you still can't get the thing to work, install 6.06 and upgrade from there. A bit of a longer way round but you'll get there in the end.

anything from my cd-rom drive...But I can not get ubuntu version 6.10
dvd to boot, yet if I use version 6.06 it boots just fine...

With the cd in the drive, I can not even view anything what so ever...

Has anyone else had this problem...???

Thanks for any help anyone can offer...
