For all you guys looking for an authenticated LDAP guy, I think I've
found one; this guy published a paper in which he explains the "meta"
information we've been seeking.

The paper talks about the strategic design of an LDAP DIT, taking
into consideration people, third-party apps and all the rest- not just
the syntax of OpenLDAP.

    His offering is here:

    http://www.skills-1st.co.uk/papers/security-with-ldap-jan-2002/

It's old, but I don't think it's too old to be helpful. When this
was written, changes to the standards were still pretty fresh-in-mind.

    Hope this helps.
