While I *do* think some comments were on the edge (or maybe just over), I
do not think the "playground bullies" characterization is in place...

You *have* shown quite a lot of stubbornness in this thread, where you
kept kicking against the explanations of others, whilst admitting you knew
too little about the issue...

Either you know (or at lease are convinced yourself that you know) and can
speak on basis of your own (supposed) knowledge, or you do not know, and
try to learn from the information you are given...

You did neither and both at the same time, which makes for a very awkward
situation, as those helping you may feel as if you are not appreciating
their efforts...

Your responses afterwards were even worse, as they show very little in the
way of politeness or even correctness...
Responding rudely to anyone that apparently does not agree with your POV
(whether or not that POV is correct does not matter right now!) is just as
much "playground bully" behavior as what you percieve to be done upon
you...

I'll don my flame-proof suit now...
