alien converts .rpm files to .deb files  ... have used it several times
and it works well.  have never used it with drivers, but presume it
would also work with them.

once the .deb file is available, right click the icon and choose
'install with .... '

if the conversion doesn't work, you can use the package manager to
unistall the package.
