XP under VMware server

first off, please be aware that this hardly is an issue related to
Ubuntu and/or GNU/Linux at all. Some Windows / VMWare support forum
would be a better place to go asking questions like this. ;)

I am not sure whether or not WXP does ship with drivers that support the
VMWare emulated SCSI adapter. Running this operating system inside
VMWare, you're better off using an IDE emulation for your hard drive (as
 should be default while creating a virtual machine for any sort of
Windows).
