nvidia nx7600 problems

I compiled the nvidia driver from source using their install tool.
Things are still locking up. I downloaded Edgy Eft maybe I'll install
that and give it a try.
Someone on IRC said the ubuntu x update is broken. Not sure if this is
true or not. I could install Debian and find out. They should have a
stable package.
