Really ugly console font

 installed Edgy from the alternaye install CD (so that I could control the
 types of partions I got). Now the console font (non X) is _really_ ugly.
 How can I fix this? This is on a machine that is identical to ones that I
 have *BSD's on that do not have ugy console fonts, so it's not just the
 font in the graphics card BTW.
