Playing videos in external monitor

hi,

I have an external LCD screen attached to my laptop.

I spend fighting with ATI drivers for a while until I got it working in
"clone" mode (I don't want a big desktop, just a bigger screen).

But I have a problem with mplayer. When I use the Xv output the video is
played on the laptop screen, not in the external one.

I want to play movies in my 20" screen, so how can I do that?

I have been googling a lot without find answers.
