fetchmail isn't getting new messages

I figured out that I had put in a space on the username. I got it now.
I reset the time to 300s or 5minutes. Its been working fine since yesterday.
Im working on now that I cant send any email - see other post.

Just out of curiosity, what would be a good fetch interval? I have mine
set for 5 minutes but is that too quick?
