Packages ! get the current ones???

That may be true, however, but have already switch over from Mac & PC, 
"I Dont" want to crash the system,
beyond repair (re-install) Again, I've just started with Linux about a 
week ago.

Second,
does aptitude install fetch the current version,
or the same version listed in synaptic package installer???
