Hi Ylan, Im having the exact same problem that you described in this
thread. My custom kernel looses my ipw2200 firmware, and I haven't been
able to find out where to put the firmware yet. Im going to try your
symbolic link fix, but Im not entirely sure what you mean by that. Im a
bit o a noob still :P
I think one creates a symbolic link with the 'ln -s' option, but are
you creating a symbolic link (named after your new kernel) that points
to the old kernel's firmware location?
(/lib/firmware/old_kernel_version/)
