Hmmmnnn I think that if you start with "http://www.ubuntu.com/" then
select the "Shipit - Free CDs" link you might find such a way...

Alternatively, if you find you really need to download something bigger
than your ISP connection wants to swallow, you could try using the
command line download tool called wget that will get files from the web
or ftp site. It does a pretty good job of resuming an unfinished
download. the following is an except from the manpage for wget.



=>         wget -c ftp://sunsite.doc.ic.ac.uk/ls-lR.Z

=> If there is a file named ls-lR.Z in the current directory, Wget
=> will assume that it is the first portion of the remote file, and
=> will ask the server to continue the retrieval from an offset
