Sorry about the rant...just blowin' off steam (NEVER do this on a
mailing list...I broke one of my own cardinal rules...;-> )
The SuSE guy and I can't get in the same place at the same time, and he
told me to find a Windows machine with high-speed access to accomplish
what I needed--which is what I will probably do at this point. If I had
the time, I would work through this; been using linux for years (before
that OS/2) and I really was trying to avoid the Window$ dance.

I don't blame dapper...just mentioned that it bailed on me the first
time--it downloaded all but 5 packages before timing out. It was
probably my fault. I'll try it again when I return from vacation.

Thank you. And this was my next step before time got away from me.
Besides, I forgot (sheesh) that I needed the source, not the binary
(kind of like driving a car for 20 years and forgetting the turn signal...).
So, thank you all for your help.
