easy ubuntu and kernel problems

Hello,

I did a clean install of Dapper because my breezy had some problems and
used easy ubuntu to get things rolling along. I guess easy ubuntu
installed the 2.6.15-23-k7 kernel but it will not boot, the computer
stops working after uncompressing linux line. I can boot my normal
kernel and everything works fine...no broken packages or anything. What
is kernel 2.6.15-23-k7, do i need it, and if so how do i get it to boot?
