Jpilot broken on 6.06?

Folks,

I've just tried to activate jpilot after upgrading from 5.10 to 6.06.
It aborts on start-up with the following error message:

*** glibc detected *** free (): invalid pointer: 0x0811b2e8 ***
aborted

Now what?
