Dapper install CD won't run on my AMD64 (was: Lots of Dapper Problems)

It couldn't be to do with the hard drives? I mean do you have something
like SATA or perhaps the drive controller is dodgy. In my experience
hard drives can prevent you from booting without giving an error
messages whatsoever.
