It couldn't be to do with the hard drives? I mean do you have something like SATA or perhaps the drive controller is dodgy. In my experience hard drives can prevent you from booting without giving an error messages whatsoever.<BR>

<FONT COLOR="#000000">a video-related problem. The consistency checkers all indicate that</FONT>
<FONT COLOR="#000000">the CD is OK. I'm not sure what the problem is here.</FONT>
