The link says that Linux (Red Hat, Novell SuSE) is supported.  We have HP
servers at work have had no issues with RHEL.  I have SATA on my home
computer running Ubuntu Dapper and it has run very well with no
configuration.

I don't think you should have any issues running Ubuntu on this server. 
If HP supports the "Enterprise" Linux versions, it will certainly work on
Ubuntu.

Hi Guys,

Is there any list where I can check what servers Ubuntu 6.06 works on? Im
also palnning to get an HP server but a different model.
