clamav is the package that most linux people run to search for viruses in 
incoming email to protect Windoze people.

I don't know if it will scan a linux machine though. Linux does not have any 
viruses that are attacking it, however. So if you think that your program is 
running weird, you may have some sort of reconfiguration to do. But it most 
definately is not a virus.
