Mldonkey too old? LowID?

Zach, others,

Thank you for your continuing advice.

Unfortunately, I think I've hosed my system. I wondered if I had
maybe installed mldonkey incorrectly, so I went to Synaptic and
reinstalled mldonkey.

And now, when I try to run Sancho, it says there is no mldonkey
core, or that it won't accept incoming connections.

It gives me a screen where I can specify a connection port, which
defaults to 127.0.0.1:4001. It also asks for a username and password,
which are admin and a blank password by default.

I never set a password, so I have no idea what it might be.

I'd like to try the suggestion of testing my ports to see if my IP
is blocking ports, but before I do that, I'd like to have my mldonkey
client/server under control.

Why is it not accepting connections from Sancho after re-installing it?

Also, to answer an earlier question, I believe I've determined that
my local IP is 192.168.0.2, so I've mapped all the relevant P2P ports to
that IP.
