Apple is not Free remember? Keep in mind they're EVERY bit as evil in
their business practises as Microsoft.. It's really unbelievable what
they try to pull AND get away with, only because they're seen as the
cute arty underdog.. But it's run from the very same mindset as
Microsoft... (lock in, lock in, lock in, sell proprietary hardware,
using proprietary formats, sell tunes, make money)
Buy one if you must for the coolness factor, no objections on that from
me. :) They ARE good at designing stuff. No doubt of course that you
can get comparable hardware LOADS cheaper.. And then you're not
comparing with the Toshiba's and Sony's of this world, but more in the
realms of Acer, HP, Lenovo and loads more Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean
brands. But it'll be less stylish, agreed. :)
I wonder if you could avoid 'Apple-tax' by not agreeing to the license
terms of their OS and get a refund for that? :-) ;-)
