Beagle's best won't start because of System.DllNotFoundException: libgeckoglue.so

After apt-get install beagle, I try to launch best (the beagle GUI) and it
gives this error message:

Unhandled Exception: System.DllNotFoundException: libgeckoglue.so
in (wrapper managed-to-native)
Beagle.Util.GeckoUtils:blam_gecko_utils_init_services ()in <0x00007>
Beagle.Util.GeckoUtils:Init ()
in <0x0006c> Best.Best:Main (System.String[] args)

I have the library upgraded to the newest version, however:

$ sudo apt-get install libgecko2.0-cil
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
libgecko2.0-cil is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

After Googling, it seems that libgeckoglue.so depends on a deprecated file
which may cause a problem:

How do I get around this?

System specs:
Dapper Drake, 32 bit
Compaq Presario x1000 laptop

Thanks in advance,

Danny
