No using windows isn't a sin at all, never mind an unpardonable one. It
might not be the smartest thing to do, but it's not a #sin.

Wasn't it you, however, who implied that someone might need Windows to
get at their e-mail, in reply to a multi-linux install users assurance
that Windows wasn't needed to reinstall linux???

Surely someone pointing out that one can use other operating systems,
besides windows, to check ones mail isn't an accusation of sin on the
part of somebody choosing to use MS products for that?

As far as "what does the job" in point goes, I have 4 installed linux
distro's on my pc, and with any one of them I can access my email. And
with three of them my primary user account shares the same partition
mounted at ~/mail. So if I break something on my "usual" linux, I can
most certainly work from one of the others without noticing the slightest
difference with my e-mail chores...

# I myself still have a small *win98se installation on my harddrive. But
# I certainly wouldn't use it for e-mail, nor in fact allow my pc to be
# connected to the net while it's running. {There is just no way I'd
#  trust Billy with the internet.}

* (it's been a long time since I was drunk enough to want to fight with
* it for old times sake, but windows is still there just in case the fit
*  takes me...)
