Yes, that's right. I use Gentoo for myself, but for the non-power
users, I have recommended several other distros. Mostly
SuSE now.
It seemed to me from what I read that Ubuntu would be the ideal
choice for all these folks. I particularly wanted one distro that
would work on x86, AMD64, and Mac, so that I could have only one
alternate system on my own machine, from which I could answer their
various questions. If only I could get the AMD64 version to work. :-(
