Definately recomend Ubuntu for Macs! I've got a list here
http://stuporglue.com/content/view/14/32/ of all the OSs that run to
some degree on Macs. I've tried Debian, Gentoo, Yellow Dog, FC3
(haven't tried 4 yet), Mandriva and Suse, and Ubuntu is definately the
best for desktop use.
Gentoo might possibly be better if you want to do everything yourself,
but I'm guesssing if you're supporting people, it's not what they're
looking for. :-)
