That's a little disingenuous. Sooner or later, ime, you _have_ to modify
the xorg.conf file. The average non-geek ends up taking something that
someone gives him on a newsgroup like this and plugging it in. The
instructions for how to do that and _still_ get automatic updates are a
little too vague for the "average non-geek".
