I want to throw in a "me too". I have the same Samba/Nautilus problem on
both my laptop and my desktop running Ubuntu. I experience the same problem
for actual Windows shares on a Win2k box, as well as my other Ubuntu
machines.

A recent convert from Gentoo, I can only add that I didn't experience this
problem with Samba and Nautilus there.
