Program to edit exif

Does anyone know of a program (preferably GUI) that will let me edit exif
data in jpeg files from my camera. So far I've found jhead and that's it.
I've never played with it. If you have, did it blow up your pictures? I just
need to change some dates on some pics a friend sent me from this summer. I
could be wrong, but I don't think it was 1969 this summer. I don't know why
his camera thinks it was!
