Program to edit exif

A Synaptic search turned up Gwenview for KDE.  It says that it can
display and edit exif comments.

libjpeg-progs might work.

metacam says it can extract the tags, including vendor specific ones,
but it doesn't say anything about changing them.

And a posting I found through Google:
