Skype Problems

Successfully upgraded from 5.04 to 5.10 thanks to the great people on
this list.

Now installed Skype (the static Qt binary) as the Debian package
generates errors.

Skype is slow to load; about 30 seconds.

Also, often after completing the first call, attempting to make a second
call results with a Skype error regarding a sound system problem. When
run from the console and the aforementioned Skype problem, I get the
following console error message:

"/dev/dsp-1: Device or resource busy"

Must unload and reload Skype to correct this problem.

Help please.
