Hi Brett, nobody post a reply in that last two days, so here's mine
(assuming the problem still exists!).

Do you, by any chance, use Marillat or Debian repositories?  If so,
don't use the “Unstable” one.  Use “Testing” or “Stable”.  You, must
likely, will have problems with dependencies if you used the “Unstable”
repository.
