You can delete XP and keep only Ubuntu, or you can keep both.

It is better in most cases, worse in some. It is better for internet
surfing becuse there are no viruses or spyware for linux (for now), and
it is more secure. It's better for DVD/DivX because you don't have to
install the codecs one at time. It's good at burning CD's. That's just
like you do it in windows (but i did not find a way to burn mvcds yet).
It's a bit worse for initial setup. You have to work a bit to make it
become like you want it, but once that is done it is rock solid and you
will never need to reinstall again.

Wipe windows and keep Ubuntu only if you can. That means that if you
have some programs that work in windows only, and there are no linux
alternatives, then keep windows for those apps. In any other case, just
delete windows and keep ubuntu only. It's much better.
