Hi Stephen. Thank you very much for your clear and helpful answer. I'll
better stop trying to use the A75 as mass storage device then :)

Anyway, what made me try was that I read quite a few threads (eg. on
linuxquestions.com) where some people wrote that they actually got the
camera as mountable usb-device working. But I now think, what they
really meant was that they were just able to access their pics from the
camera with a given frontend.
