[hoary] emacs conflicts with input methods based on XIM

I've upgraded my system to hoary from warty some days ago, I found
that I can't active input methods(based on XIM) to input Chinese
characters in Emacs. With the input methods shipped with emacs, I can
do this, however, it's so bad for we Simplified Chinese users that we
must start external Input method programs to archive so. Nowdays these
input methods, such as fcitx, input methods based on SCIM(scim-pinyin)
etc, are mostly communicate with other programs via XIM.
I noted that emacs-gtk shipped with hoary was build with XIM support.
But I can't active input methods via "Ctrl+Space". Everytime I hit
"Ctrl+Space" to trigger the input method, It tell me that "mark set".
This doesn't work the same as it was on warty, on which the external
input method starts to let me input Chinese characters, when I hit
"Ctrl+Space".
I also re-compiled emacs, emacs22 cvs20050126. But the result are all the same.
I was told that another hoary user also faced this problem. So I think
this may be a bug
