[Hoary] Weird Networking Problems

I am running an up to date Hoary box.

I suddenly cannot connect to a couple of web sites, like the one for my
church.

Also, the weather applet (for the Gnome panel) has suddenly quit
working. I have tried several different locations, none work. I can
connect to Weather.com with Firefox.

The funny thing is if I boot into WinXP on the same machine, then I can
connect perfectly to my church's website. They are not blocking my IP
address in any way. I asked.

I told Firestarter (my firewall tool) to let all traffic through. Didn't
make any difference.

I did an ifconfig and got:

david at n1zhe:~$ ifconfig
eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:30:BD:06:7E:1E
          inet addr:65.175.249.36  Bcast:65.175.249.255
Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::230:bdff:fe06:7e1e/64 Scope:Link
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:60614 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:28841 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:78899346 (75.2 MiB)  TX bytes:1846826 (1.7 MiB)
          Interrupt:10 Base address:0xd400

lo        Link encap:Local Loopback
          inet addr:127.0.0.1  Mask:255.0.0.0
          inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING  MTU:16436  Metric:1
          RX packets:7325 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:7325 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:2187374 (2.0 MiB)  TX bytes:2187374 (2.0 MiB)

david at n1zhe:~$

However, when I look at the gui network tool, it looks like I don't have
an IP address assigned.

DNS server IP's are the same between WinXP and Hoary, but the IP address
is different.

Any ideas?

David
