libmetakit-python broken in ubuntu hoary

Apologies if this e-mail is misdirected -- the ubuntu bugreport page
directed me to send bug reports about hoary "universe" packages to this list.

libmetakit-python in hoary installs the python libraries into
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/ rather than
/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages.

The real issue is that this should use the "virtual package" system
used by other python packages. libmetakit-python should be renamed to
python-libmetakit which should be provided by python2.3-libmetakit and
python2.4-libmetakit. This has already happened "upstream" in debian
here: http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/libm/libmetakit2.4.9.3/libmetakit2.4.9.3_2.4.9.3-3/changelog
(though they haven't upgraded to 2.4 yet).

So, the solution would be to switch to a python-metakit package which
is provided by a
python2.3-metakit (already exists in debian)
python2.4-metakit (needs to be created for hoary)
