Is there any way to speed up apt-get ?

Huuu where do you live ?? I get 120KB/s (1Mbps) like yuo.... but that's
the SLOWEST I could get (read ... cheapest !). Now the norm is 20Mbps,
about 2.5MByte per second... yeaaaah !!! :o)
Cable used ot suck compared to ADSL, now it rocks ! :o)
And now that my ISP uses DHCP not PPPoE anymore, Ubuntu get the internet
working instantly and automatically during install, total magic !!! :o)
Obviously, you do have to live in town to get cable, but then again,
same applies to ADSL.

I am so glad I now have broadband, it really breathes a new life into
Ubuntu !
