amd64 debian 3.1 or ubuntu

Thanks, I will start with performance testing ubuntu 5.04
I am hoping to put ubuntu up against fc4 and win on
performance and stability. Debian/ubuntu already win
hands down when it comes to packaging, repackaging
auto packaging, repositories, reliable upgrades, and
defined conf files. I like the conffiles, because it makes
creating hierartical cvs system to manage them quite simple.

I am more interested in stability and well tested packages.
So waiting until... packages migrate into ubuntu 5.04 is not
an issue.
