A better way to invoke it is to add it to your Gnome-Panel. Right
click on the panel, Add to Panel, and Tomboy should appear on the
list. Then you don't have to fiddle with gnome-sessons. When you first
install Tomboy, it will only appear on the list after you've restarted
gnome-panel (or logged out, or rebooted).
