Even after the "hack" I can't get to firefox extentions...

I have the most updated Hoary firefox (from hoary-updates or
hoary-security). I applied the hack mentioned in the bug report (set
general.useragent.vendorSub to 1.0.4), and I was able to browse to
http://addons.mozilla.org and install Mouse Gestures 1.0.1 from
https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=39

Can you double check that you're setting that particular about:config
setting?
