this is generally a very bad idea on udev based systems (like ubuntu)
and wont work... if you want this link to be there, you will have to
adjust the udev configuration to create it for you.... manually created
links in the /dev directory are wiped out by udev on boot....

i dont own such a device myself, as i wrote before, i just collected the
info from this list for the howto, sorry that i cant help further
here...
