CD Repository for Synaptic

OK. I hope I'm not tiring you guys out with all my questions. And I
rly appreciate all the help. Anyway....:
I had been looking thru my repositories in the "Settings >
Repositories" menu of Synaptic. I had accidentally deleted the
repository that was on the install CD.
Now, heres my prob:
When I go to "Edit > Add CD-ROM... > OK" It gives me a message saying
"Unable to stat the mount point /cdrom/ - stat (2 No such file or
directory)". I assume this is because I don't have my 2 CD drives
mounting in "/cdrom/". Instead, I had modified "/etc/fstab" so that my
DVD player and CD burner mounted in "/mnt/hdc/" and "/mnt/hdd/"
respectively. I chose these names because I wanted all of my mounts
(besides my "/" mount) to go at "/mnt/" in a folder that was the same
as their device id. For example, my DVD player is "/dev/hdc/" and my
CD burner is "/dev/hdd/".
Is there any way to get Synaptic to recognize these mount points so I
can add a repository from the CD? I don't want to have to try to move
it all back to "/cdrom/" (and I don't remember the exact directory
structure of "/cdrom/").
~Matt
