Install Pentanet driver

Hi,

I have to install Linux server for internet connection.
They use in the shool a Pentanet PCI card.
I found in Debian Sarge and Ubuntu this packages
pentanet-utils
pentanet-dev
pentanet-doc
and the source package.
But i have to install the driver that is in source before because the 
device is not open.
With lspci I have Pentamedia Co Ltd : Unknown device 9050 (rev 02)
I install build-essential and the headers of the kernel
I try to compile but there are errors and i don't know if it is problem 
with the kernel.
I tried with Ubuntu Warty kernel 2.6.8-1 and Debian Sarge kernel 2.4.27-1
All the document i found, it is for Red Hat with kernel 2.4.x .
Have someone who install a pentanet card with Linux Debian based ?
