hoary ppc live cd + osx disk utility

This is a known bug with Disk Utility; the same happens with the install
CD. Could you bug Apple about it and see if you can get them to fix it?
It clearly shouldn't be crashing, no matter what the image looks like.

That said, I don't know what it is about our CDs that triggers this bug.
The fact that the stack trace includes VReadApplePartitions vaguely
suggests that it's something to do with the hybrid ISO9660/HFS layout,
but that only narrows it down so far.

Could you also try with a Debian sarge powerpc CD and see if that
crashes Disk Utility too?
