Most likley Quake 3 has to be configured to use the alsa-drivers as the
way for it to get sound out. Also, it IS a bit tricky trying to get 2
sound apps at the same time in GNOME. Well it's a bit tricky in Linux
period. I suggest making a new thread on the idea of 'duplex' sound.
I'm sure I've read about it being a possibility though. I have the
audigyLS card and am not at all sure as to how to do this myself.
