How about installing new hardware AFTER system installation?

I'm using Warty on a 600 MHz "screamer". Recently, it had go into the
shop for a fix-up. At home, it uses a PS/2 mouse. As it turns out the
shop didn't have any of these ancient rodents around...only USB.

To get to the point, Warty DID recognize the USB mouse.
