Ubuntu 4.10 & TrueType fonts

If you just want to install additional true type fonts for use in GNOME,
you can add them to the .fonts directory in your home directory.  After
that, they should show up in the font preferences.  I never touched XFS
in my system and the fonts seem to be working fine.  I just dropped the
MS true type fonts in the directory above and they are available.
