I'm kind of confused here... When I use the hoary live CD I get these drivers :
orinoco_pci 6656 0
orinoco 38284 1 orinoco_pci
hermes 7936 2 orinoco_pci,orinoco
And they work _perfectly_ for al long as I run that session.
But running the current version of hoary I get these:
orinoco_pci 6656 0
orinoco 42828 1 orinoco_pci
hermes 8448 2 orinoco_pci,orinoco
But they don't work.. they do the same damn thing as the warty version
of these drivers... they pick the card up for about 30 seconds then it
just drops off.. and I can't resurrect them.. :-(
a lspci shows:
0000:02:02.0 Network controller: Intersil Corporation Prism 2.5
Wavelan chipset (rev 01)
Why does an older version of hoary work better?!?
can I pinch the modules from the liveCd or does it not work that way?
