spca5xx broken in ubuntu 5.10?

There appears to be a problem with this driver.  (Check out Bugzilla
http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14566 )  I had exactly the
same problem as you detail below, and we aren't alone...

It is a problem with the package in Breezy.  It is fixed for Dapper, I
checked and it already works for my webcam under Dapper Flight 2.
